What Hardware Did Apple Reveal?
Right, where would you go without hardware? It’s a bull’s eye guess that Apple would reveal new iPhones, but what else would they reveal? It’s true that they did reveal something impressive! Check out what Apple has revealed:

This looks like too long of a wish come true to me, doesn’t it? It was expected that Apple would push the event out to three hours. My guess was that Apple would reveal the new iPhones, new Apple Watch, new AirPods, and the AirPowercharger. But, I assumed that Apple would leave the iPad Pro and Mac refresh until later in the year. Now you already know most of my conjecture came true.

What Is It Called?
iPhone XS seems the most likely appropriate name (for now, at any rate), following in the footsteps of the iPhone X. As you know the iPhone X is pronounced “ten,” although most people I know call it “X”. So, it clearly created a lot of brand confusion out there.
Another name that’s been on the iPhone fanboys’ tongue for the plus-sized iPhone is ” iPhone XS Max.” The name doesn’t sound like a great name to me. But, one thing I’m pretty sure is that no matter what it might have ended up being called, it will be a guaranteed success.
This year, Apple used up its iPhone X (read: ten) names. Next year leaves it to the imagination of people. Apple has released phones representing all the numbers from one through ten, skipping two and nine for confidential reasons. Now, for better or worse, next year, it’ll likely need to come up with a new naming scheme.

GOODBYE TOUCH ID!
It seemed very likely that 2018 would mark the end of the line for Touch ID on newer iPhones. Yes, Touch It will likely stay stuck on the iPhone SE, the older crop of iPhones that Apple continues to market, and the iPad (although I expect this phone to disappear from the iPad Pro at the next update), but Face ID is the direction Apple will want to enter.
Why?
Well, it’s avant-garde and ahead of what other players in the market have to offer. It also comes with numerous side benefits, such as enumerating features such as Animojis (it won’t do if you’re into such things, really it would not).
Also, it allows Apple to makes real estate on the front of a device convenient and useful. Apple accomplished it by dispensing with buttons.
So, now all you have to do is stare at your phone to get it to unlock. Now all you have to do is swipe and gesture to compensate for not having a button to press because that marks the beginning of the future.
How Many IPhones Did Apple Release?
It has been months since Bloomberg reported that Apple would have three new iPhone handsets in line. Now, you know Apple did release three phones. A super-sized iPhone that sports a display “close to 6.5 inches,” codenamed D33.
An updated version of the iPhone X, that will bear the codename D32.
A cheaper version of the iPhone X will be available with an edge-to-edge display and Face ID. Both the D33 and D32 will come with OLED displays and feature a new A12 processor.
The report also claimed that Apple was considering introducing a gold color option for the D33 and D32, a feature that was supposedly junked for the iPhone X because it was facing production issues.
What’s exciting is that over the past few months, this hasn’t changed greatly. Back in July, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Apple was working on a 5.8-inch OLED iPhone, a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone. Plus, and a 6.1-inch reasonable LCD iPhone.
In addition, Apple products you should not buy (August 2018 edition). Kuo also accounted that the “budget” 6.1-inch iPhone with the LCD display would be accessible in “grey, white, blue, red, and orange.”
Taking the features currently in the iPhone X and unveiling them up into a cheaper iPhone is definitely a no-brainer. That being said when Apple rolled out the budget iPhone 5c in 2013, the thing clearly tanked, because it never saw an update.

Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR at its much-hyped ‘Gather Round’ event.
The 5.8in iPhone XS should be the straight successor to last year’s iPhone X, while the Max model, which offers the same footprint as Apple’s previous 5.5in smartphones despite its larger 6.5in an OLED display, essentially is the replacement for Apple’s now-defunct Plus-branded models.
Both the XS and XS Max offer Super Retina resolution screens, which present HDR, Dolby Vision, a 120Hz refresh rate, and offer the mark that debuted on last year’s flagship iPhone. This is to accommodate Apple’s souped-up Face ID tech, which the firm is now advertised as the “most secure facial authentication ever in a smartphone”.
Both also come crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel and the “most durable glass ever in a smartphone”, with the new iDevices now boasting souped-up IP68 certification.
Under the lid, the new iPhone XS models pack Apple’s A12 Bionic CPU, the first commercially existing 7nm chip. The processor, which consists of a four-core CPU, six-core GPU a next-gen eight-core neural engine, promises to bring a 15 percent performance boost compared to last year’s A11 chip, 40 percent lower power expenditure, and maintenance for concurrent machine learning.
iPhone XS And iPhone XS Max Camera
On the selfie cam, the iPhone XS and XS Max combine a double 12MP camera setup, which shows off a larger sensor than that found on the iPhone X and a better TrueTone flash. There’s a group of new Camera software features integrated too, including a new ‘Smart HDR’ mode and the ability to regulate a photo’s depth of field after it’s been taken.
Around the front, you’ll find the same 7MP TrueDepth camera similar to last year’s model, but – according to Apple, at least – the sensor can be “twice as fast” as before.
Dual SIM Slots
The iPhone XS and XS Max are also the first iPhones to integrate dual SIM slots, with a physical SIM card and Apple’s own eSIM. For China, Apple is specifically marketing a phone with two physical SIM slots.
In terms of battery longevity, Apple boasts that the iPhone XS will back up 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, while the iPhone XS Max will bring an extra hour and a half.
Color & Storage
The iPhone XS and XS Max will be found with a choice of 64GB, 256GB, 512GB of storage, and in Gold and Silver, Space Grey color options.
Apple also displayed the iPhone XR at its 12 September launch event, which arrives as the divine successor to last year’s iPhone 8. It hasn’t escaped the notch treatment, though, with Apple equipping the lower-end smartphone with a display cutout to contain its formerly iPhone X-exclusive Face ID tech.
The handset, which follows in the footsteps of the iPhone 5C with its jazzy color options, comes crafted from aluminum and glass, which houses its 6.1in LCD ‘Liquid Retina’ display and offers IP57 certifications.
While the iPhone XR packs the same A12 Bionic CPU as the XS and XS Max, it doesn’t have the dual-camera setup of its more classy siblings and instead presents a single 12MP wide-angle lens on its rear.

Apple’s iPhone XS directly succeeded the last year’s, iPhone X. The iPhone XS has been exposed in hands-on handsets with its official unveiling. Previously, a Weibo user uploaded images of the soon-to-be-unveiled smartphone on their blog site.
The user confirmed that it would look almost identical to its predecessor, iPhone X with its notched display and chamfered edges.
The leak didn’t tell us much else about the iPhone XS, but we had to long to wait until all is revealed. And, iPhone XS looks glamorous.

Apple’s inexpensive iPhone will allegedly be available in short supply at launch due to “quality issues of assembly and display”. That is confirmed by Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac ), supported by Bloomberg, who claims that the so-called iPhone XR will launch in “late September-early October” due to issues attaching backlights to the LCD screen.
These manufacturing problems will cause supply to suffer constraints at launch, according to the two reports.

The arriving entry-level 6.1in LCD iPhone could hit the shelves as the iPhone XC, according to a presentation from carrier China Mobile, via Macotakara. The slide is making users doubtful over the name of Apple’s incoming 6.5in OLED model. It is suggesting it might be called the iPhone XS Plus, rather than the XS Max.
The leak also claims the so-called iPhone XC will fetch around £540 at launch, while the iPhone XS and XS Plus will fetch around £700 and £775, respectively.
